Latest Updates from Our Project:

NEW STRETCH GOAL ADDED!
over 4 years ago – Thu, Dec 02, 2021 at 12:20:29 AM

We have 9 days to go and since you all are blowing me away with hitting stretch goal after stretch goal, I decided to dream even bigger and add an additional one! One of the covers I’ll be doing on the album is “Why Don’t You Do Right” from Who Framed Roger Rabbit!

What a perfect choice for ANOTHER MUSIC VIDEO! If we raise $24,000 l’ll plan on doing a music video as Mrs. Jessica Rabbit herself! This picture of me singing at the Magic Castle is the closest thing I could find to match her… for now…

Hmmm… I better start commissioning that red dress! 💋

GREY IS UNLOCKED!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Dec 01, 2021 at 09:26:50 AM

Our stretch goal of $17,500 was a bonus track on the album - an epic duet with the  incredible Grey DeLisle Griffin!

WE DID IT!

Can we reach the music video stretch goal of $20,000 by next week?!

One cover song track revealed!
over 4 years ago – Sat, Nov 27, 2021 at 03:58:50 AM

As I mentioned before, this album will not only showcase my original music but will feature a few covers sprinkled throughout - all from fandoms & geeky properties that have inspired me…

What better fandom to pay homage to than the Muppets?!

Con Artist will have a slow jazzy rendition of, “It’s Not Easy Being Green!” ***

Today, Richard Allen and I went through a few songs to start the arranging process for the music before getting the full band together. Can you tell what he is playing as the intro for the song in the beginning? Here’s a hint: It’s a nod to a famous Disney property that I watched constantly growing up!

*** if a mechanical license is obtained :)

In Remembrance
over 4 years ago – Wed, Nov 24, 2021 at 08:44:30 PM

Today marks the anniversary of the passing of one of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever had the honor of knowing, my friend Jacosa. Not only was she an incredible aerialist, trapeze artist, illusionist, and performer… but a wonderful friend and a genuinely kind person.

I wrote this song on the night of her passing as a gift to her family. I couldn’t express the loss of her light and brilliance with simple words, it had to be put to music.

There will be a new version of 'Jacosa" recorded for CON ARTIST. I'll be dedicating the track to her, as well as donating part of the proceeds to the MakeShift Circus Collective, which she helped create in Atlanta.

I hope hearing this gives you an inkling of an idea of just how incredibly special she was...

My love to all of Jacosa's family and friends who are remembering her today.

I feel so lucky to have been able to call her a friend.

Meet the first member of the band - Richard Allen!
over 4 years ago – Thu, Nov 18, 2021 at 01:28:37 AM

Hello my wonderful Kickstarting warriors!

I want to take this time to introduce you to the first member of the jazz band, as well as musical director for this solo project, Richard Allen!

As an L.A. based composer, arranger, and performer, Richard has orchestrated music for John Williams, Richard Sherman, The Boston Pops, The London Symphony, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Kodak Theater, Disneyland and numerous cruise lines. He is also the conductor of The Los Angeles Police Department concert band, in addition to being the classified pianist at the world famous Magic Castle.

His ability to take any song and transform it into any genre makes him the perfect pianist for this album!

We have a ton of songs to arrange and fine tune over the next upcoming weeks, so wish us luck!

I will be keeping you all informed of the progress.

Keep checking in periodically for more updates and introductions of more of the incredible band members you’ve unlocked!

Musically Yours,

Bonnie
