Hello my darling Kickers! … or actually I guess Backers is more appropriate?
It is time for a much needed update!!! Mixing is going along so well, and the more we mix some of the bigger numbers, the more we find room for extra epicness!!!
I have a surprise song that is possibly being added to the album as well! More details to come on that soon (once I have permission! haha!) …
I also have update on one of the duets featured on the album. Unfortunately, Grey Griffin’s schedule kept her from being a part of the Last Unicorn duet - however, the INCREDIBLE Darcy Rose Byrnes has stepped in and I couldn’t be happier about what she had added to the track! You might recognize Darcy Rose as Harper from the Disney Plus show, ”Big Shot!” - She is also an accomplished voiceover actress heard as Princess Amber on Sofia the First, Ikki on Legend of Korra, and so much more! The fact that she shared her amazing vocal talent for this album is such a blessing! Here is a sneak listen (not the final mix):
The head of the studio where we record and mix will be out of town for most of July, so sadly that will be pushing things back a bit more - but while he is away I’ll be finalizing the design of the album cover and ordering pins and posters!
It is getting so close!!! Thank you all for being patient! I promise you the wait will be worth it!

Hello to all my amazing Kickstarter supporters!
Here is another sneak listen of a song from the album Con Artist! - the title song “Con Artist!” Even completely unmixed, I’m shocked with how incredible it’s sounding!!! Thanks to this Kickstarter and your support, I was able to use all live professional musicians on this album. You can hear how talented they all are just from this short clip. I saved the ending of the song from your ears because I want it to be a surprise… the band goes nuts and rocks out hard!!!
I’m so excited to share more of this album with you!
We are currently mixing of few of the songs right now and finalizing instrumental/vocal tracks.
Thank you so much for your patience while I work on it! I know you’ve all been eagerly awaiting the release! More to come!

First off, I want to thank all of you for being so patient with me while I try and make this album (Con Artist) the best it can be!
Recording an album with a combination of original music, new arrangements of beloved covers that I have to make my own, and using ALL LIVE MUSICIANS - and I mean A LOT of live musicians… some songs have a full horn section!!! - well, its been a lot more time consuming than I imagined!
Throw in scheduling studio time while being aware of Covid safety measures, personal health stuff I’ve been dealing with (I don’t really post about that kind of stuff on social media but don’t worry, I’m going to be OK!), AND juggling the work/rehearsal schedules of 14 people (I told you I had a lot of musicians involved!) … you get a prolonged time table! 😂
Good news is that we are getting closer and closer to the finish line! Final mixing has begun for most of the songs now and we are nearly done having the entire album recorded! Huzzah!
I’ll be sharing some small clips of some of the album audio with you all, so you can hear what the vocals sound like with the incredible band behind it!
Keep in mind that these clips are still completely unmixed! Only thing that’s been done is a bit of reverb on the vocals for now! I can’t wait to hear what it will sound like once all the mixing is complete!
This album keeps getting better and better! Thank you all for your continued support while I work to make ‘Con Artist’ the absolute best album it can be.
